Or indeed a blog? This site was upgraded for me by Nick months ago and I haven’t used it. Rather like when you buy the perfect new notebook and save it for ‘something special’ and profound and remarkable…. Instead of just sitting down on a blowy afternoon in February and writing.
So here I am [breaks off to clear up after puppy…]. January felt longer and colder than usual and was dominated by a bad knee that meant little or no walking outside. February seems almost unseasonably warm by comparison. The snowdrops and other bulbs are at least three weeks behind last year – but they are coming now.
There has already been that first evening when the light came as a moment of surprise and enough reminders that ‘no winter lasts for ever, no spring misses its turn’.
I need to find out how to add photographs here, I think…
